The installation of Avast is easy, but sometimes it can show several issues. A plethora of reasons, such as compatibility issues, corrupted Windows files, insufficient permissions, conflicting software settings, or malware, can stop the app from installing. If you are facing this problem, then these are the steps you can follow to fix your issue.
Method 1: Remove Other Antivirus Programs
. Select the Windows search menu, type in the Control Panel, and open it.
. Click on Programs and Features, then locate the other antivirus programs.
. Choose the other security program and click Uninstall.
. When you get the User Account Control pop-up permission window, select Yes to allow.
. In addition, once you get a pop-up prompt to confirm the action, choose Yes.
. Go through the remaining on-screen prompts to complete the uninstallation process.
. When that’s done, type regedit in the Windows search bar and open it as an administrator.
. On the User Account Control pop-up permission window, click on Yes to allow.
. Select HKEY_CURRENT_USER to expand it and click Software.
. Now, right-click the antivirus program you just deleted and click Delete.
. Choose Yes on the pop-up prompt to confirm the action.
Method 2: Check Internet Connection
. First and foremost, ensure your wireless router is turned on.
. Check that your device is connected to the wireless network.
. Ensure that you have a stable network connection.
. Now, check if your problem has been resolved or not.
